Keith Wedge met his future wife, Bobbie (Smith), in November 1967 while he was helping establish a chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Missouri State University in Springfield. Bobbie, an MSU student and a member of Delta Zeta sorority there, was introduced to Keith by a member of the Springfield fraternity.

“We dated for three years in both Springfield and Rolla, and after Bobbie graduated in 1969, she moved to Steelville to begin a job in social work at Missouri Division of Family Services,” he says.
In 1970, Keith earned a bachelor’s degree in geology and geophysics and they were married. Over the next three years, Keith earned master’s and doctoral degrees in the same field.
“We spent a lot of time together working on the 1969 Rollamo yearbook when I was editor,” he says. “She typed most of the text for that yearbook during weekends she spent in Rolla.”
The pair decided to make Rolla their permanent home. Today they are involved in many organizations and volunteer work, including university and fraternity support.
